My awesome neighborhood puts on a live nativity program every year in the park at the center of our neighborhood. Neighbors volunteer to play different parts and donate their time to build the set and put on the program. This year’s organizers asked Ryan to play a wiseman. He didn’t have to do anything other than dress up and stand there. Not a singing part thank goodness! We look forward to this program every year. It’s always held the first week of December, so it’s a great way to kick off the Christmas season and remember our Savior.
Our neighborhood also collects food for the homeless shelter at this event. We do this instead of giving neighbor gifts to each other, which I love! Takes the pressure off everyone to come up with gifts for each other. We were able to surpass last year’s amount of donations this year, which was awesome!
