I am a very detail oriented person. When I design cards or edit pictures everything takes me twice as long as it should because I’m super picky. It’s a blessing and curse really. So naturally, I love to shoot details as well, especially pretty elements of food or decor. As I mentioned previously, I am taking a class on macro photography. Part of our first assignment was to capture the details in a room. Right up my ally! I was so excited to get started! I chose my living room because I love the light and colors in that room.
My baby was taking a marathon nap the day I was doing these pictures, so I was in “the zone” and took a TON! As I was looking around for details, I spotted the textures and colors in the potpourri vases. Let’s just say I was in macro heaven! I pulled out each piece and experimented with a variety of composiitions. I’m officially a huge photography nerd with this lens. I mean, who spends their afternoon taking pictures of potpourri? ha ha
