Here we go! I can’t believe I’m doing this again! I did a 365 project in 2010 and it was one the hardest things I’ve ever done! But so rewarding for me in many ways. I’ve been feeling like my photography is in a bit of a rut since then and I need a new challenge so that I can progress. The first time around it was more about documenting my family’s life everyday. This time around I will do that, but with more focus on certain elements in photography that I can improve upon. I plan to take part in some online photography challenges and classes to help me with ideas so I don’t get burned out. I am also doing this with my friends who are contributors with me for the blog Click It Up A Notch. So I am hoping if we all encourage each other we can make it! Check out their blogs in my sidebar tab under “blog friends”.
Since this is the month of Thanksgiving, I will be posting some images of things I am grateful for. So for today, my image isn’t anything fabulous, but it is something I am grateful for. It is an empty trick or treat bag and some m&m’s. Why am I grateful for that you ask? Because this year we are participating in Operation Gratitude where we collect our Halloween candy and send it to deployed troops, along with letters of thanks to the men and women who bravely serve our country. I am grateful for their sacrifices in my behalf and this wonderful opportunity for my kids to express their thanks as well.
We gave most of our candy away for this cause. These few m&m’s where all that were left in the bottom of this bag when I found it on my son’s floor today! I am grateful that we have an alternative to the usual over-dose of candy and all the issues of hyperactivity, tummy aches, sore throats and cavities that usually goes with it! For the most part my kids were good sports about it. I will probably find some hidden stashes in the coming days…haha.
