I am participating in a blog circle of some amazingly talented photographers. We are posting our favorite images once a month using our Lensbaby lenses. At the end of this post is a link to the next blog and a view of their Lensbaby images for August.
Should you complete the circle, you will come back to my blog again…
My images this month are again, very random and disconnected, but each contain a small part of my summer that I don’t want to forget!
The first one is a flower I captured on my trip to Barcelona, Spain last month.
The second is a scene from my trip to Yellowstone National Park a few weeks later.
The last two are of my homegrown tomatoes. This spring my hubby worked hard at building a fabulous planter in our backyard to grow a few veggies and herbs. It was the first garden we’ve planted, so you can imagine our excitement when we saw that something actually grew! And there’s just something about the way a home grown tomato tastes vs. a store bought one. Delish! I grew up on homegrown tomatoes. Our family tradition is to make tomato sandwiches with them. Just bread, sliced tomatoes, mayo, salt & pepper!
Although it looks like I’ve applied a texture to the tomato shots, I haven’t! That’s the beauty of this lens. It gives this wonderful blur straight out of the camera. So fun!
Next up in the circle is the ever so talented Laurie Flickinger. Laurie and I go back to 2010 when we “met” as fellow 365 bloggers. I have always admired her work and am grateful for her friendship and the encouragement she gives me to keep challenging myself!
