Coming soon…

Letters to our Children Sept.

It’s blog circle time again! I think I say this every month, but I am truly grateful to my photography friends for inviting me to join them in this challenge to write letters to my children this year.  I have been a terrible blogger this year because I have an active toddler who demands most of my time. I’ve been making it a priority to get these posts done so I at least have something recorded this year!

This month I am writing to my studly 7 year old, Boston…aka…Bos…Bosty…Bos Man…Bostonius Maximus…Shredder!

Dear Boston,

When I look at these pictures of you I am reminded of your playful, carefree personality. I love your age. I’m so happy you let me take pictures of you today. I want to always remember you at this adorable age…and your cute toothless grin!

You are learning so much in school and becoming more and more confident with your reading. Although you started at a new school this year, you are quickly making friends and learning to adapt. You are one who is sometimes naughty at home, but an angel for your teachers…thank heavens!  I am so proud of you for trying hard in school! Learning will always get you far in life.

You are my little shredder this year in soccer and I love to watch you lead your team to victory!  Daddy is your coach, so you are especially happy and confident on the field this season. I’ve noticed you are learning to be more of a team player. It makes me happy when you realize it’s important to give your teammates the chance to score a goal as well.

I also love to watch you play with your friends, and just be a kid. There are days when you wake up and all you can think about is what you need to do in order to play. I hope you will always remember your childhood as a happy one. Although you have rough days and you get in trouble once in awhile, I hope you will always remember you were a happy, loved child.

When you get older and the world gets crazy, and you’ve had all you can stand, I hope you will close your eyes and take yourself back to your childhood. A childhood filled with love, laughter, blessings, and a family who supports and loves each other. It’s not always roses around here, but I hope you always feel proud to be in our family. You are such a gift to your mommy and daddy. You make me smile each day and remind me of all that is good and pure.

Love you my sweet boy.

Love, Mommy

Next up in the blog circle is the super talented Janey Strong. She is new to our blog circle, so I’m excited to get to know her better!

He is a little stud 🙂 He seems like a sweet cool kid. And of course your letters always make me get a little teary eyed. What a beautiful childhood you are making for your kids. You should be proud, momma 🙂ReplyCancel
